It's a no go for solid foods???

Tonight John & I made an executive decision to give Garrett some rice cereal because he is eating much better now, smacking his mouth, & starving all the time BUT he hated it! "He hates it!" in a screaming voice - an insider that only Lauren & Lindsay would understand & maybe Mari & Stacey. He would not take one bit of it. To all the mommas out there - is that how it always is when you first introduce solids?

Anyway Sunday has been a fun day. After church we went to Daddy's soccer game. Very cold but so fun! Garrett has a little 10 month old friend on the team that he chills with. We've heard G chuckle before but today he was hysterically full-blown laughing for minutes on end at this itty bitty dog that kept getting in his face. It was so much fun. Someone asked if I had a digital camera that I could record him with & then he stopped. Wouldn't you know?! Too bad I didn't think of it sooner. I didn't catch any of the laughing on camera - so sad!

Random pics from the weekend....
Oh and I will be back to work tomorrow of course - my "gallstone" whatever that is, feels much better.

Reagan hated her first rice cereal too. She doesn't like it very liquidy (if that's a real word??) We make it more of a mush and use milk, I think it adds more flavor. Keep it up though! He'll love it in no time!! Oh, and Garrett just keeps getting cuter by the day! Can't wait for our next play date!

I wouldn't say that Sam "likes" the rice cereal. He is such a heffer like me that he pretty much will eat anything we put in front of him. We are trying either green beans or carrots tonight for the first time, so I'll let you know how that goes!

Eh, we waited so long for Beckett to eat them he scarfed them down. But rice cereal is pretty nasty stuff! Have you seen this yet- I highly recommend it.

ps- the guilt never goes away, you just have to let it go and find a way to make the most of the time you do have. He won't remember all the times you were not there, he will remember the special times you were.
