6 months old yesterday!

Garrett was 6 months old yesterday. We went to the doctor's office on Thursday & everything looks good. He is moving on up in weight to the 50th percentile at 16 lbs. 11 oz. His height was not accurate - it was the same as the 4 month check up (27 inches). The nurse said she couldn't get him to stop rolling over long enough to get a good measurement. The doctor said Carrot could start eating some veggies immediately, so celebrated his 6 month bday with some carrots! I think he liked it. Here are some new things he has been up to (normal baby stuff, but you know how exciting it is when it is your own going through it!): riding in the stroller with no carseat, trying to feed himself, scooting & really getting places, standing a lot, sitting some, & being silly. Garrett is definitely feeling better than he was back when the throwing up was a major problem. He is such an active, happy baby & loves to play even by himself.

Garrett enjoys Fridays with Daddy now. It is fun to have boy time! John's office closed the doors on Fridays because they have no work, so John gets extra bonding time. Yeah for you! Garrett wants to tell you "Good luck on your architecture exam, Daddy!" (He is taking another one right now & has several more to go...)

Dear Garrett,

I think you should start working on another "new thing"...your first trip to North Carolina. Just my opinion. (c:
