Garrett's Big Appointment at Texas Children's...

Today we met with the GI Specialist. Yea! I think there is hope for Garrett feeling better! The doctor thinks he is severely allergic to milk. We tried the Enfamil & Similac versions of hypoallergenic formulas in the past, but they aren't strong enough b/c they have traces of the bad stuff still in them. Garrett needs to be on a prescription grade hypoallergenic formula that will hopefully help him stop throwing up constantly & eliminate all other syptoms he's had that have added to the discomfort (constipation, gas, reflux, bloated stomach, gagging, colic behavior, etc.) Poor guy, if we had only known sooner, we could have helped him a long time ago! I am sure he's on the road to recovery & I can't wait...if this doesn't work in 3 days, then we go to doctor's Plan B & get a bunch of tests run to find out the problem. Knock on wood - the doctor said he will start sleeping much better now, too! He compared how he has felt to having food poisoning, except it has lasted 2 and 1/2 months :(

Garrett got to wear this super cool hospital gown! Nice...

So, tonight has been really bad - he has thrown up EVERY single drop of formula & then some. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
